PTO Committees
BEAUTIFICATION: (Year-round) Assist with maintaining planting, weed-removing, garden maintenance and general landscaping on HW grounds as needed.
BOOK FAIR: (Fall and Spring) Assist with set-up, selling and/or taking down book displays. Daytime and evening help needed.
FIFTH GRADE EVENT PLANNING: (Year-round) Fifth Grade parents plan and execute all events and activities for the Fifth Grade class using the budget provided by the PTO. Additional monies may be obtained through class fundraising. Fourth Grade parents are encouraged to volunteer for set up/take down of the Fifth Grade graduation. Fifth grade events include graduation, end of year parties, and talent show.
GENERAL VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers will be contacted when events/happenings at Hanna Woods need extra help. Commit to volunteering on a case-by-case basis, depending on what the volunteer coordinators need and your availability.
Tiger Picnic: (May, School hours needed) Committee members needed to help plan the event and volunteers are needed during the day to assist with set-up, cooking, serving and clean-up.
TEACHER/STAFF APPRECIATION: Show the teachers and staff how much they mean to parents and students. Volunteers will work with the Staff Appreciation Coordinators to execute any or all events for our staff. Help is needed with stocking the lounge and teacher appreciation week.
WINTER FUNDRAISER: Committee members will help the night of the event. This is an ADULT ONLY fundraiser held off-campus. Volunteers will be responsible for helping with set up, take down, silent auction items, 50/50 raffles and other games.
YEAR-ROUND OPPORTUNITIES: Volunteers are always needed around our school. Sign up for whatever your schedule allows in Membership Toolkit. Some of the opportunities include:
